[Harp-L] Getting a good note on the left side
The best way to learn to play out of both sides of your mouth is to
start on D hole 5 draw on chromatic. Swish your tongue toward the D
and the A in hole 3 opens up. (If you hear the B in hole 4 before
the A in hole 3 opens, you are in u-block) After you can go back and
forth between the D and A by corner switching until you sound like
the police in Europe, then stop on the A in hole 3 on your left
corner. Blow the G in the same hole with the left side. Play G and A
on the left side until you feel comfortable. Now move to the F in
hole 2 and then the E in hole 2 and then the D in hole one and back
to E in hole 2, then F, then G then A all on the left side. You are
now playing left and can practice a D minor scale on the left corner
from A to D and back.
All scales then can be practice left in the low register after this
and both corners will become fluent.
Harmonically yours,
